Pick of the Week

It was a good weekend for Pariah, making the Washington Post's Best Books of 2009 (second year in a row for me--Small Crimes made it in 2008), honorable mention on a BN Review Best of the year list, and this in the Sunday Boston Globe.

I knew it. I knew it all along, and I'm proud and happy to point at your books and say to my friends, 'I told you so.'

You have SO earned these good things, and more. "BAD Karma"? Not in your case.

Thanks, Corey. I know how fortunate I am that Maureen Corrigan chose to pick up Small Crimes, especially with the book coming from a small publisher, otherwise both books would've flown under the radar. I now at least have a shot. Here's hoping Roger Smith and Paul Tremblay's next books, Wake Up Dead and No Sleep Till Wonderland (I read them both--both highly original, both terrific), also get discovered by critics and get the attention they deserve.

This is all good stuff and very well deserved.

Dave,
Wow, the past couple of years have been stunning for you, sir, and with good reason. I'm already chomping at the bit for when Killer hits. Keeping coming!
