Interviewed on Crime Scene NI

First Pariah reviewed, then the interview with Crime Scene NI's Gerard Brennan. And while you're on the site, check out Adrian McKinty's review of Watchman.

Great interview, Dave! And I'm glad Serpent's Tail pick up Small Crimes so you didn't have to stop writing!

Keith, thanks, it was close. It does show though how sometimes things happen just as you've given up.

I am so happy for your continued success, Dave. You've got the bull by the horns. I wonder if someone that has that immediate best seller like Brian Gruley or Tana French appeciates how lucky they are--because a lot of it is luck.

Patti, there is a lot of luck involved if you're not connected or not a celebrity, but I didn't do myself any favors by insisting on writing dark crime fiction. These days NY seems to only want to buy + push stuff that's so over the top that it's more farce than serious. But OTOH, I did get incredibly lucky when Maureen Corrigan decided to review Small Crimes for WP and later NPR. If she didn't do that, Small Crimes would've disappeared without much if any attention.

Да уж. По поводу коментариев - навеяла на меня где-то услышанная фраза:
Это мы придумали заниматься сексом, не снимая носки.
